The Alger Falls Motel is a locally owned and operated gem nestled in the heart of Munising, Michigan. And, we're not just any motel; we're a piece of Munising history! Built in 1955, the Alger Falls Motel was the first "modern" motel in town. Three owners came and went before my parents fell in love with this place. Back in the day, they'd come up here snowmobiling and always stayed at the Alger Falls. They loved the area so much they decided to uproot our young family in 1976 from a Chicago suburb to make Munising our home. After college, I worked a 50+ hour week job and was ready to start my own family, so I bought the motel from them in April 2001.
